- BLENDED FINANCE -
Blended finance can support sustainable finance and investment where private markets alone fall short
Blending public and private capital can help de-risk projects and build markets in nascent areas such as climate transition, natural capital, social housing, or emerging markets.
Growing the blended finance ecosystem
ASFI works with government, regulators and financial institutions to support the design and application of effective blended finance structures that enable collaboration in areas of clear public benefit in Australia and Southeast Asia.
This includes our partnership with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to support the Australian Government’s implementation of Invested: Australia’s Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040, our ACCC-authorised work to support co-design of new blended finance structures, and analysis and advocacy in relation to catalytic financing approaches including Australia’s Special Investment Vehicles.
