ASFI joined the Australian Council of Superannuation Investors (ACSI), the Investor Group on Climate Change (IGCC), the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) and Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA) in March to welcome measures to improve how climate and sustainability reporting standards are developed in Australia.

On 24 September, Members of ASFI’s COP31 SteerCo met with the Minister for Climate Change and Energy, the Hon Chris Bowen MP to discuss plans and priorities for COP31, should Australia secure the rights to co-host this conference with Pacific Island nations in 2026.
