The 2024 Australian Sustainable Finance Progress Tracker shows Australia has seen important progress in the last year to develop sustainable finance architecture and increase capital flows towards sustainability objectives.  

ASFI has released our fourth annual Australian Sustainable Finance Progress Tracker report on implementation of the Australian Sustainable Finance Roadmap.

The score for 2024 across all 37 Roadmap recommendations is an average of 2.8 out of 5.0 – an increase of 0.2 from 2023.

Australia has made some progress towards achieving the Roadmap’s recommendations, with several significant developments in the last year across policy, regulation, markets and within financial institutions.

Further work remains, however, to realise the Roadmap’s overarching vision of a realigned financial system that supports a more resilient, sustainable and prosperous Australia. More leadership, collaboration and action across all parts of the financial system are required.
