The Sustainable Finance Action Plan 2025-2027 identifies a priority action on capability, with a commitment to enabling sustainable finance training across public and private sectors.

Up-skilling and re-skilling across the financial system is crucial in ensuring that communities, organisations and individuals have the right skills to navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of sustainable finance, understand emerging issues, and build the partnerships that will be needed.

Capability on sustainability issues across the finance sector is an important pre-condition for progress on other action areas identified, while capability on private finance and partnerships is critical to build in the public sector and for community.

  • Sustainable Finance Taxonomy Foundations

    Online | Self-paced

    Australian Sustainable Finance Taxonomy Foundations online learning program is designed for financial services professionals, corporate treasuries, and financial institutions who play crucial roles in capital allocation decisions.

    The three hour self-guided course includes 9 modules and will leave learners with an understanding of the role taxonomies play in enabling the shift to a low carbon economy, and how it can be applied to their organisation. Participants have three months from the date of enrolment to complete the program and ASFI members get an exclusive member-only discount.
