Private Land Conservation Conference

  • 31 Constitution Avenue Canberra, ACT, 2601 Australia (map)

The accelerating, interlinked crises of biodiversity loss and climate change are the most pressing issues of our time. They pose a major risk to the viability and resilience of many business sectors while others are already experiencing disruption. But it is also a time of great opportunity – the Global Biodiversity Framework has elevated nature to the world stage and set high ambitions for people and planet. We are starting to see an exciting shift that seeks to build biodiversity into business thinking. But there is much to do.

The Australian Land Conservation Alliance (ALCA) is the peak national body representing organisations that work to conserve, manage and restore nature on privately managed land. ALCA’s flagship Private Land Conservation Conference – PLC23 Unite for Nature – will be taking place on Ngunnawal Country at the National Canberra Convention Centre, 16 - 18 October (plus post conference field trips).

PLC23 is a one-stop shop for businesses wanting to better understand biodiversity, and the opportunities and solutions that cross-sectoral partnerships can bring to ensure we unite and deliver for nature. Featuring conservation practitioners; policy experts; business, finance and industry leaders; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders; and cross-sectoral innovators and collaborators, don’t miss this opportunity to be part of forward-looking agenda that will build insights, inform action and shape outcomes to help us move towards a nature positive world.
