Australian sustainable finance taxonomy

ASFI has launched the second and final round of public consultation on the development of the Australian sustainable finance taxonomy. In the second round of public consultation, ASFI is seeking feedback on:

  • The climate change mitigation criteria for all six priority sectors for development;

  • a Do No Significant Harm framework;

  • minimum social safeguards; and

  • ways in which the taxonomy can be used.

COP29

The ASFI team was on the ground in Baku for COP29 this month, meeting with international and Australian partners to discuss policies and frameworks for sustainable finance, public-private climate partnerships, and Australia’s role in supporting the global transition. Read our COP29 insights →

Finance Sector Leadership

In October, ASFI released the pilot version of Australia’s first Sustainable Finance Capability Framework, demonstrating the key capabilities needed across the sustainable finance workforce to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable, resilient and inclusive Australia. Acknowledging the swift growth of the sustainable finance ecosystem, the pilot version of this Framework will be open for further comments and feedback for the next 12 months. Learn more →
