ASFI May update

There has been lots happening in May at ASFI, on the program, engagement and events front.

Program

Taxonomy project: We are pleased to share that today we have formally annouced our Project Steering Committee and Technical Advisory Group. Full details can be found here

We have also annouced today that we have opened our Request for Proposal (RFP) for consultants and individuals to work with ASFI for the duration of phase 2 of this project. Please read here to find out more.

TNFD: Last week saw over 37 participants from ASFI Member organisations participate in the first of four TNFD workshops. To register your interest in the next workshop (date TBC in early June), please get in touch with Natalie.

Engagements

In the leadup to the federal election, ASFI and our members were involved in a number of discussions with federal Government Departments to share ideas and discuss how to finance the transition to a net zero, resilient economy.  On the 11th of May we held a series of ASFI/Government roundtable discussions between ASFI members and senior level representatives from Treasury, Prime Minister and Cabinet, Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources, Department of Agriculture, Water and Environment, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, National Recovery and Resilience Agency and Infrastructure Australia.

Thanks to all those members who were able to make it down to Canberra for the day and your active engagement in the discussions. As the shape and priorities of the new federal government firm up we are working with a range of government departments to build on these collaborative and productive engagements.

Events

There is still time to register for our upcoming panel session focusing on building industry sustainability capability through business and finance faculties. Register here

Yours sincerely
