Responsible Investment Manager | KPMG

  • The Senior Manager, Equity Sustainable Investment (SI) Index Product Management will support the development of Equity SI strategy and be responsible for the SI index pipeline within the organization of FTSE Russell Indices – LSEG’s Benchmark & Index Solutions (B&IS) business, in the Data & Analytics (D&A) Division of LSEG.

    This role will report into the Head of Equity Sustainable Investment Index Product Management and be responsible for developing the team of SI Equity product and country managers for the APAC region leading key APAC client engagement. It will be leading and coordinating the roadmap in the region with the regional sales, marketing and business development teams.

    The role requires a detailed understanding of ESG, climate and all sustainable investment products and services to better address clients’ sustainable investment needs in the region. A good understanding of index investors’ investment priorities in APAC is required. A strong focus will be on the driving of the day-to-day index product management for the APAC product offering in collaboration with colleagues as well as with other teams and functions throughout FTSE Russell, B&IS and D&A.

    As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will bring Sustainable investment, ESG, Climate expertise into business development and lead on the implementation of the Equity SI product development strategy. They will work closely with internal collaborators including Sales, Product Management, Research, Marketing, Technology and Operations as well as with various external partners including clients.

    • Drive the FTSE Russell Equity SI Index business segment roadmap for APAC, in partnership with the global Head of Equity SI product management and other regions leads.

    • Provide inputs into the global equity sustainable investment strategy and business plan.

    • Manage a team of impactful SI product and country managers who are focusing on their Sustainable investment added new value to equity product management.

    • Be the key contact for main SI clients, asset owners and asset managers in APAC.

    • Handle the existing equity SI index product offering alongside the team on a day-to-day basis, for the specific APAC market and for the global SI equity product offering.

    • Work across FTSE Russell/LSEG departments and offices to achieve broader business goals and in close collaboration with Sales and Index Research to complete the strategy and drive growth.

    • Lead on execution of specific APAC client and product opportunities

Associate Director/ Senior Analyst – Sustainable Finance, Japan & APAC | S&P Global

  • S&P are currently recruiting an Associate Director/ Senior Analyst (Previous title Associate) to join its Sustainable Finance team within its Ratings practice, to be based out of S&P’s Tokyo office. Candidates based out of Hong Kong, Singapore or Australia would also be considered, provided that they had achieved a minimum of JLPT N2 level Japanese proficiency. The successful candidate will specifically be working on ESG and sustainable finance assignments and research, and contribute to the development, application and roll out of new products in the ESG and sustainable finance space. They will report to Bertrand Jabouley (Singapore), Head of the Sustainable Finance team in APAC.

    • Leading, as a Sustainable Finance specialist, individual assignments on ESG and sustainable financing instruments and frameworks, in Japan and/or in APAC depending on the business pipeline;

    • Building a subject matter expertise to support ESG in ratings, i.e., interacting with credit rating analytical teams to facilitate the inclusion of appropriate environmental, social, and governance factors in credit risk analysis and industry-based publications;

    • As the key representative of the team for Japan, becoming a spokesperson for the company in external engagements (market outreach, customer interactions…);

    • Conducting research and analysis on ESG themes, and how these could impact organisations in Japan and the wider region over the short, medium and long term. This work should result in the publication of research commentaries that are widely read by the investment community; and

    • Contributing to the development/enhancement of our analytical approached.

    • A Bachelor’s degree with some courses in sustainability, finance, social and environmental management. A science–based qualification would be an asset.

    • Either relevant Master’s degree or CFA Charterholder would be a plus.
